Setting Up 7850 NSG-X

  1. Connect your 7850 NSG-X to one or more AC power supplies (100-240V).
  2. Connect the WAN connection to one of:
    1. Ports 1-2, which are 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ ports
    2. Ports 3-5, which are Gigabit Ethernet electrical ports

    Note: multiple ports may be used for uplink connectivity. Refer to your service provider’s detailed documentation for further information.

  3. For automatic bootstrap mode, insert the USB bootstrap key into any USB port and power-on the NSG.
  4. For multi-factor bootstrapping, the installer must connect the laptop to Gigabit Ethernet Port 6 (identified by a blinking LED), power-on the NSG and follow the instructions in the bootstrap email.
  5. Post bootstrapping, connect devices to any available ports (i.e. not used for WAN connection) using Ethernet cable(s).
