Certain hardware features are available only on specific NSG models. Note that your NSG product may look different from the one depicted below.

Connect each 7850 NSG-X power module to an AC power supply (100-240V), preferably on separate circuits.
Connect the WAN connection to one of the following:
Multiple ports may be used for uplink connectivity. Refer to your service provider's documentation for more information.
For bootstrapping, connect the laptop to Port 6.
Note: Modular slot support is available (for access connections) only on appliances with 4.0/gold3 image. For a brand new NSG-X, if Port 6 is blinking pre-bootstrapping, it has the 4.0/gold3 image. Otherwise, it has the 4.0/gold2 image. If Port 6 is blinking pre-bootstrapping, it is also serves as an indicator that it is the port for connecting the laptop.
After bootstrapping, connect devices to any available ports (such as the ports used for WAN connection) using Ethernet cables.
Note: Hot swapping of the module is not supported. To add, remove or replace a module, the NSG-X must be powered down.
